Our sites

Sodertalje, Stockholm

Our Sodertalje site in the county of Stockholm is host to one of the largest manufacturing units of pharmaceuticals in the world – and the largest in all of AstraZeneca. It’s no wonder we’re known as the ‘heart of production’. Here innovative ideas are transformed into finished products, every minute.

Did you know? The medicines delivered from our Sweden operations account for around 40% of AstraZeneca’s total sales value.

With 4.600 colleagues working together across multiple functions, we are focused on continuous improvement and smart solutions. Here, general industry knowledge is mixed with Life Science expertise and cutting-edge IT skills in an international environment with supportive leadership. And we all work together to serve a common purpose: To deliver life changing medicines.

At the Campus Södertälje site we have our Sweden Operations and Sweden Biologics manufacturing sites, which stand for high-tech production of traditional and biological medicines.

Gothenburg 

Home to one of AstraZeneca’s three strategic science centres, our Gothenburg site offers you the chance to delve into our entire world of research and innovation.

Our site itself has been designed with collaboration in mind. From dedicated social spaces to coffee labs, recharge rooms, a community garden and even a ‘walk and talk’ meeting trail which can often mean trailing off into some amazing spontaneous discussions.

Life City - Stockholm

Life City Hagastaden is the location for our Nordic Marketing company. This is a vibrant area in the midst of the Stockholm Life Science cluster, next door to Karolinska Institutet as well as the Karolinska University Hospital. Here, collaborations and closeness to our stakeholders provides us to do even more of what is our purpose, - delivering life changing medicines and treatments to patients.

In Life City we have a modern and light office with ergonomically fitted desks, meeting-rooms and “touch-down” spaces for field force. It is a semi-serviced office with bicycle storage, changing rooms and wellness functions. Food at both the K-Märkt café + restaurant, catering, central reception, central courtyard and conference centre. The building has a BREEAM sustainability certification as “Excellent” and nominated for Sweden Green Building Award.

The ambition is to, together with some of Stockholm's most far-sighted transformers, build a meeting place that strengthens Hagastaden's and Sweden's position in an international perspective. Life City's work environments and forms of collaboration are based on the latest research in work and meetings.
