About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing biomarker and pharmacodynamic assays to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of action of aging-related interventions, primarily in mouse models. Your expertise will be pivotal to driving the success of our drug discovery efforts and translating laboratory findings into meaningful advancements in age-related health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate pharmacodynamic assays to assess mechanisms of action for aging-related interventions in mouse models.

  • Develop and validate biomarker assays that predict lifespan extension and assess therapeutic activity.

  • Analyze complex biological datasets to determine the efficacy of interventions and generate actionable insights.

  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate assay results into the broader drug discovery pipeline.

  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in aging biology and biomarker technologies, incorporating innovative methods where appropriate.

  • Present data and research progress at internal meetings and external scientific conferences.

  • Contribute to the drafting of scientific publications and patent applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant field with 1–4 years of postdoctoral or industry experience, OR
    MS with 3–5 years, OR
    BS with 5+ years of related scientific experience.

  • Strong experience with in vivo mouse models and associated ex vivo and molecular techniques.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and validating biomarker and/or pharmacodynamic assays.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical interpretation of biological datasets.

  • Experience working with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to generate high-quality experimental data.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to creatively overcome research challenges.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team environment.

  • Proven record of scientific contributions through peer-reviewed publications in aging or related fields.

Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Comfortable managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced research environment.

  • Experience with in vivo models of healthspan and longevity.

  • Familiarity with cell-based assays relevant to aging mechanisms.

  • Working knowledge of bioinformatics tools and multi-omics data analysis.

  • Experience with project or team leadership in a research setting.
