About the programme
Real estate is essential to the future success of AZ and we strive to be the “best corporate real estate team in the world for AZ”.
The Workplace Strategy & Innovation Team at AstraZeneca, is a small global team of subject matter experts. It is the real estate strategic partner, leading and implementing tailored solutions for our diverse portfolio. This portfolio encompasses all asset types including labs, offices and Operations sites.
We ensure our spaces not only meet business needs but are technologically advanced and creatively designed to support AZ being a great place to work. Managing the entire real estate portfolio, our passionate team partners closely with Business Units, applying best practices to provide comprehensive solutions. From strategic plans and transactions to workplace designs and facilities management. With a strong process focus, we empower internal customers to achieve their key business goals and strategies, supporting them to deliver great medicines to patients and always acting in the best interest of the enterprise.
Some of the topical issues we focus on are selecting the right locations to attract talent to AZ, once the talent is there providing a great place to work to retain it and ensuring AZ’s assets meet sustainability targets.
How does the programme work?
On this apprenticeship, you’ll have a unique opportunity to learn and work in a global company alongside science’s brightest minds and our industry’s boldest disruptors.
You’ll be studying for a level 6 - Real Estate (BA Hons) degree. We’ll fund your degree, and 20% of your time will be spent on your studies.
There are plenty of opportunities for future growth and experience beyond your Bachelor’s. Many of our apprentices go on to enjoy full time positions both in their apprenticeship department and other business areas.
