Associate Director, S/4HANA Data Transformation – Operations (P&MM)
We are embarking on theAxial transformation programme, powered byS/4HANA, to revolutionize our IT landscape and streamline our processes. We are seeking anAssociate Directorto lead the data readiness and excellence for theProcurement & Material Management (P&MM)stream.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the quality and integrity of data objects acrossProcurementandMaterial Master. Operating within the Operations organization, you will collaborate with data leads, technical teams, and business stakeholders to uphold rigorous data standards as we transition to a global ERP solution.
Typical Accountabilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the coordination of business data requirements within the S/4HANA data readiness and deployment process, specifically for the P&MM tower.
- Data Standards & Governance: Define and document clear data cleansing standards, robust data management, and governance processes. Ensure data readiness at go-live by aligning with Data Design Leads and the Enterprise Process Owner (EPO) organization.
- Data Quality Analysis: Perform detailed data quality analysis and profiling to identify anomalies and inconsistencies within P&MM objects (Purchasing Info Records, Source Lists, Purchase Orders, etc.).
- Defect Management: Provide oversight of the data quality defect management process and define problem statements and quality improvement plans.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Represent P&MM data readiness and cleansing demands across interlinked areas, engaging proactively with the wider business to ensure SAP standards meet business requirements.
- Migration Strategy: Contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate strategy, defining the scope of data cleansing and the delivery approach.
- Interim Management: Support impact assessments and manage interim state reporting, navigating the split system landscape of partial S/4HANA and ECC deployments.
Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential Requirements
- SAP Expertise: Strong SAP skillset, particularly inMaterial Masteror a combination ofProcurement and MM.
- Data Quality: Strong functional experience in data quality management, including rules, reporting, issue remediation, and root cause analysis.
- Migration Experience: Significant experience in data migration, including the functional design of ETL processes.
- Change Management: Experience managing the journey from current to future state data design, including user education and change impact assessments.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading diverse, global teams and managing negotiations to achieve target outcomes.
- Technical Objects: Functional knowledge of key objects such as PIRs, Source Lists, and POs.
Desirable Requirements
- S/4HANA Experience: Previous implementation experience as a key contributor focusing on material master or procurement data.
- Migration Tools: Working knowledge ofSyniti ADMand data migration in an SAP landscape.
- Industry Experience: Experience inLife SciencesorHealthcare.
- Broader Data Capabilities: Understanding of data architecture, lineage, definitions, and governance policies.
