Associate Director, S/4 HANA Data Transformation - DQ&A Operations

We are seeking a pivotalAssociate Directorto lead the quality and integrity of material master data within our transformationalS/4HANA program. Operating within the Operations organization, you will collaborate closely with data leads, technical teams, and business stakeholders to uphold rigorous data standards.

In this role, you will drive the data quality strategy, execute critical data analysis and cleansing activities, and establish processes to maintain data fitness post-implementation. You will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition and sustainable data excellence in a complex, global landscape.

Typical Accountabilities

As the Associate Director, you will be responsible for the following key areas:

• Data Quality Strategy: Support the development of the Operations S/4 Data Quality strategy and roadmap, specifically focusing onMaterial Masterdata.
• Analysis & Profiling: Perform detailed data quality analysis, identify cleansing requirements, and conduct profiling to detect anomalies. You will also assist in defining profiling requirements and providing business interpretations of the outputs.
• Data Standards: Partner with Data Design teams to define data standards by analyzing existingSAP ECCdata sets to inform current usage.
• Issue Management: Define and document data problem statements and quality improvement plans, providing oversight on data quality issue management.
• Migration Support: Deliver relevant data quality enhancements at the source to simplify S/4HANA material master data migration and manage the interim state during deployment.
• Interim State Management: Support impact assessments and the design/management of interim state reporting, navigating the split system landscape of partial S/4HANA and ECC deployment.
• Governance & Framework: Define the data quality organization and framework required for ongoing monitoring and remediation, ensuring alignment with the S/4 Data Governance framework.
• Cleanse & Migrate: Contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate strategy, defining the scope and delivery approach.

Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Essential Requirements

• SAP Expertise: Strong SAP skillset, particularly inMaterial Master (MM)or a combination of MM andProduction Planning (PP).
• Data Quality Management: Strong functional experience in data quality rules, reporting, issue management, and remediation.
• Specialist Knowledge: Deep understanding of DQ management principles in material master data (profiling, discovery, root cause analysis, and automated DQ solutions).
• Migration Experience: Significant experience in data migration, including the functional design ofETL processesand supporting data migration activities in an SAP landscape.
• Technical Tools: Working knowledge ofSAP ECC ModulesandSyniti ADM.
• Leadership: Proven track record of leading in a diverse, global team and managing negotiations across complex groups to achieve target outcomes.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to lead through conflicting priorities.

Desirable Requirements

• Broader Data Capabilities: Understanding of data architecture, analytics, modelling, policy assurance, and quality assurance/control testing.
• Industry Experience: Experience inLife SciencesorHealthcare.
• S/4HANA Experience: Previous involvement in an S/4HANA implementation program as a key contributor or support role, specifically focusing on material master data.
• Data Governance: Experience in Business/IT partnering for the implementation of Data Governance-related solutions.
• Tooling: Previous experience with data management tools relevant to material master data.
