The System Care Specialist (SCS) is focused on understanding and improving the patient journey at both the regional and national levels. This position will report into the Head of Customer Disease Strategy (CDS) and will work in close partnership with cross-functional teams—including field sales, marketing, medical affairs, and national accounts—to identify gaps in patient care and develop commercial strategies that enhance patient care delivery at the national and regional level.

This role is not defined by profitability, sales objectives, or incentives. The SCS role is focused oncommercial strategic insight generation, internal coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to support AstraZeneca’s oncology priorities.

  • Industry and Disease Expertise:Maintains strong disease management product knowledge, particularly within the AstraZeneca breast cancer portfolio. Keeps up to date with trends in the health care industry and uses this information in brand planning

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or PhD preferred

  • 10+ years in pharma or other relevant experience

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to manager budgets and resources effectively

  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD

  • Breast cancer experience

  • Experience in driving metrics-based optimization

  • Prior supervisory experience

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $151,081- $226,622. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
