Introduction to role 

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Field Operations, the Director, Reporting Strategy & Design is accountable for shaping and leading the design and strategy for all field reporting across the BBU. This role drives reporting governance, generation and innovative solutions by effectively leveraging a key strategic partner relationship. Acting as the lead customer interface, the Director champions more insightful report and metric utilization across Strategic Field Operations, engaging senior leadership to interpret information, accelerate commercial decision-making and turn insights into competitive advantage. Accountabilities 

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy for field reporting across the BBU, setting a clear vision for how data, metrics and insights inform commercial decisions. 

  • Drive the generation of reporting through centralized management and sharing of strategic data sources, relationships and solutions. 

  • Deliver SFO value through strategic partnership development, robust reporting governance and innovative reporting solutions that challenge current thinking. 

  • Proactively craft value-added reporting design and strategy, providing clear rationale and direction that enables optimal commercial decision making. 

  • Enhance informational reporting for commercial leadership through close collaboration with SFO, Global Reporting, Global Digital Health and Insights & Analytics. 

  • Lead and develop a team of three direct reports, balancing business-as-usual deliverables with visionary design of future innovative capabilities. 

  • Continuously strengthen strategic vendor partnerships to maximize value, outcomes and innovation in reporting solutions. 

  • Champion innovative approaches that enhance process efficiencies and enable greater report generation from existing and emerging data assets. 

  • Partner with senior field leadership to capture reporting requirements and desired outcomes, make recommendations and provide reporting and guidance for strategically critical initiatives. 

  • Drive the continuous evolution of Reporting Service Level Agreements and Service Level Objectives to meet changing business needs. 

  • Lead the optimization of reporting strategy through continuous improvement, including centralizing services and platform use where appropriate. 

  • Oversee the creation of enhanced reporting through an enterprise initiative to simplify and centralize all Senior Leadership and Commercial business reporting needs. 

Essential Skills/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field 

  • 5+ years of Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare commercial experience (field operations, sales, sales management, marketing, training, etc) in roles of increasing responsibility with consistent track record of performance 

  • Solid informal and formal communication skills including excellent presentation skills 

  • Experience interacting with senior management 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic OSP relationships 

  • Well-developed business acumen and strategic agility 

  • Able to develop and communicate timely business insights from the data, share and defend those insights 

  • Ability to think outside current processes and make recommendations 

  • Ability to lead initiatives across workstreams 

  • Strong people skills, mentoring skills and solid team player 

Desirable Skills/Experience 

  • Experience in a variety of brand team or field sales analytics 

  • Experience managing strategic vendor contracts and relationships 

  • Experience in driving commercial governance initiatives 

  • Experience in leading without authority
