Location: Warsaw, hybrid work (3 days from office, 2 days from home)
The Technical Business Analyst, Global Transparency Operations is part of the overall Global Business Services Compliance, Legal & Contracting Operations, aligned to Finance and contributes to the fulfillment of AstraZeneca’s external payment disclosure obligations across Europe, United States (US), and all new International Emerging Markets.
Working in a complex, matrixed high activity environment, the Technical Business Analyst will be a team contributor supporting the System Integration & Integrity Team in execution of Onboarding Strategy delivering end-to-end market-specific payment transparency solutions meeting law/regulation and analytic requirements, partnering with IT partners ensuring solution adheres to quality, data privacy, and compliance standards and best practices.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the execution of the organizations overall risk management and QA/QC program, including the entity and process level controls and monitoring protocol process, script development, sample selection, procurement of source system data, testing, documentation of findings, and remediation efforts
- Operate at a functional level in assessing and defining business need and areas for improvement. Proactively seek out opportunities to enhance and improve transparency operations aligned with strategic goals
- Support elicitation of business requirements cross-functionally within Global Payment Transparency and contributing to the translation of functional and technical design specifications and assist execution of testing against testing strategy
- Execution of data reconciliation efforts and quality checks in partnership with local market contacts to monitor completeness and accuracy of reports throughout execution of onboarding process period
- Contribute to development of transition documentation of newly onboarded markets requirements and overall market business process as it relates to data collection strategy, reporting requirements and derivations, consent/pre-disclosure, disclosure within local market, metric derivation
- Provide operational consultancy support in the collection and processing of reportable spend as needed for newly onboarded markets and 3rd parties to ensure complete, on-time and accurate filings
- Assist in the development and implementation of relevant data metrics and analytics to monitor compliance in use of coding, application functionality, and overall data quality as well as provide insights to the business regarding data trends
- Respond and support queries from management and key stakeholders as needed
- Particiipate in continuous improvement projects and other system enhancements aimed at improving processes across the team and overall data quality
- Support internal and external audits of payment transparency data, e.g., IRO and Internal Audit, as necessary
- Support driving and embedding a culture of ethics, integrity and compliance
- Participate im policy meetings and training on an as-needed basis
Business Analyst/Project Management Components:
- Support prioritization of functional and technical requirements effectively to meet business needs and achieve milestone Payment Transparency disclosure reporting
- Contribute to maintenance of procedural documentation
- Support activities around MDM management and cleansing initiatives supporting Emerging Market Onboarding
Requirements
Minimum Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (ideally Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline) or equivalent experience
- Proven business/technical experience working with complex integrated systems, using creative and critical-thinking skills to deliver exceptional results
- Practical usage of Agile Methodology
- Technical proficiency in applicable technologies (reporting capabilities, databases, system architecture, interfaces, other)
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP, and purchase to pay systems / processes, Procurement, SAP, Veeva, Concur, Power BI
- Experience working in a global organization with complex context
- Experience working with and/or managing IT Providers or Business Relationship Management
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle competing projects simultaneously
- Strong ethical, collaborative, innovative and customer-centric skills
- Flexibility to accommodate global working hours
Preferred Background:
- Experience in or with the biopharmaceutical industry or a consulting firm working with pharmaceutical clients
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge in a variety of software development methodologies
- Understanding of Research and Development (R&D) and/or Commercial operations
- Working knowledge of / experience with payment transparency requirements in Europe (EFPIA), the US (Open Payments or formerly Sunshine Act), and International
