Diagnostic Information Manager (12 months secondment/fixed-term contract)
About the Role
The Diagnostic Project Management Office (PMO) within Precision Medicine, Project, Portfolio & Alliances at AstraZeneca is dedicated to ensuring the successful delivery of diagnostic projects from initiation through to regulatory approval across all therapy areas. We strive to optimize the delivery of precision medicines by defining and championing best practices while driving continuous improvement processes.
As a Diagnostic Information Manager, you will work closely with the Diagnostic Project Manager to collect, manage, and provide technical expertise on project-related information across various cross-functional diagnostic project and program teams. Your role is pivotal in delivering accurate portfolio information for decision-making, business reporting, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Information Management:
Ensure accurate input of diagnostic project information within AZ enterprise project planning tools (PLANIT and RESOURCIT).
Provide an accurate view of diagnostic milestones, costs, and resources for business planning and automated project reporting.
Track project spend against PLANIT forecasts and report status to Diagnostic Project Managers.
Generate reports from systems (PLANIT, RESOURCIT, Coupa) to monitor progress and highlight deviations to Project Managers.
Maintain and optimize the Precision Medicine project documentation repository on SharePoint Online to ensure logical, consistent storage and easy retrieval of information.
Training and Continuous Improvement:
Provide training to new PMO members on core systems.
Support development and implementation of internal processes and information management guidelines.
Use technical expertise to drive simplification and standardization of information management across Precision Medicine.
Share knowledge to foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Requirements:
Education:
BA/BSc in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational and forward-planning skills with keen attention to detail.
Advocate for efficient and effective systems and processes.
Experience working with global teams and communicating with key stakeholders.
Professional, enthusiastic, and proactive approach with the ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload independently.
Technical proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SharePoint Online.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in managing and providing project information.
Understanding of Project Management techniques, tools, and principles.
Basic understanding or experience using PLANIT.
