We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist with a broad background in implementing novel model systems in vitro and assessing in vivo studies. As a key member of our discovery team based in Waltham, MA, you will drive projects through the drug discovery process, delivering datasets that directly impact our efforts.
Accountabilities:
In this laboratory-based position, you will develop, conduct, and analyze in vitro experiments to assess the function of our candidate drugs. You will support cross-functional teams and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the timely generation and dissemination of critical program data. Your role will also involve reviewing emerging literature and internal data to help identify new potential targets and contribute to target validation activities.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- PhD in a relevant field with 0-3 years' experience with in vitro model development or MS in a relevant field with 3-5 years' experience developing novel in vitro cellular and molecular models, or BS in a relevant field with 5-8 years’ experience developing novel in vitro cellular and molecular models
- Demonstrated ability to model complex biological axes in vitro
- Demonstrated experience with genome editing techniques and epigenetics
- Strong background in cellular function assays, including cell viability analysis and flow cytometry
- Preference for experience with techniques to assess senescence (immune-specific and/or cellular)
- Ability to independently design and execute research plans for one or more programs, and to review, analyze, and interpret experimental results rapidly
- Ability to draft, execute and record protocols and experiments in a timely manner and maintain an excellent laboratory notebook
- Proven track record of success in your research and experience preparing written scientific reports and oral presentations
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills together with evidence of having used these to support problem solving and delivery in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

About the Waltham Site
Our Waltham, Massachusetts facility develops life changing small-molecule research in North America, with innovative laboratories at the Gatehouse Park BioHub, just west of the city center. Our BioHub facility, is a bold new R&D initiative, which fosters life science discoveries and the exchange of ideas. Here, we play host to some of the most cutting-edge technology and lab spaces, all designed to inspire collaboration and cross-functional science. We offer a competitive Total Reward program including a market driven base salary, bonus and long term incentive. We have a generous paid time off program and a comprehensive benefits package.
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $87,200 - $130,800. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
