Accountabilities:

  • Independently design, plan and execute research development studies to generate high-quality data packages supporting regulatory filings.

  • Evaluate lentiviral vectors and in vivo engineered cells in humanized mice models of disease with external animal testing service provider.

  • Plan and execute in vitro characterization and mechanism of action studies for new in vivo lentiviral delivery vector candidates.

  • Coordinate studies with other members of the team and external partners, analyze and present data internally to advance work packages for regulatory filings.

  • Compile and validate study reports to support the nonclinical IND sections.

  • Maintainaccurate, detailed, and timely documentation in electronic lab notebooks.

  • Prepare scientific summaries, internal reports, and presentations for internal governance and external stakeholders when required.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • MSc or PhD degree in Immunology or molecular and/or Cell Biology with 3-5 years industry experience (8-10 years for MSc) in in vivo and/or in vitro pharmacology development of immunotherapies, strong preference for cell and gene therapies.

  • Previous experience with designing and executing pivotal non-clinical studies and authoring sections/reports for regulatory submissions is a must.

  • Strong scientific/technical writing and communication skills in English is required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proven record of collaborating and working effectively with internal and external partners.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral in English is a must.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting objectives.

  • Autonomous, must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Should be self-motivated, detail oriented, flexible, and have a “do-what-it-takes” attitude.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Direct experience with CAR-T/TCR-T cell engineering and characterization is preferred.

  • Experience with humanized mice, disease modelling in mice for oncology and/or immune disorders and pre-clinical assessment of CAR-T/TCR-T cell therapies are preferred.
