Introduction to role:
As Director Corporate Data & Insights, you will work across the AstraZeneca Corporate Communications team and Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) network to direct the use of internal and external audience and channel data, research, and insights in support of a differentiated, trusted corporate brand and reputation. You will oversee major corporate communications research and insights projects, including leading a multi-market quantitative reputation research survey and overseeing the corporate reputation measurement framework.
Accountabilities:
- Work with the Head of Corporate Brand & Reputation to develop, implement, and measure corporate brand strategies and campaigns.
- Lead major research and measurement projects, including a multi-market research survey and the development of a reputation measurement framework.
- Advise on best practice methodologies for audience research and insights across Global Corporate Affairs.
- Lead the tracking and measurement of priority global and market actions, including regular scorecard reporting.
- Oversee reporting and analysis approaches to improve consistency and quality.
- Ensure approaches are best-in-class by adopting best practices and driving action across the GCA network.
- Advise and coach GCA colleagues and senior leaders on data, measurement, research, and insights.
- Engage and manage contract resources to support effective execution of communication measurement and research activities.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Minimum 10 years of measurement, research, and insights experience in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications or marketing team.
- Experienced strategist with expertise in turning complex data into robust, actionable insights.
- Track record of successfully managing complex measurement and research projects with international dimensions.
- Experience across both quantitative and qualitative research.
- Significant experience managing different stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
- Excellent data and analytical skills, able to synthesize large amounts of complex data and extract actionable insights
- High-level of technical competence and skills with strong knowledge of technology options and how they can be used to optimise measurement approaches and efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to communicate information effectively and accurately, verbally or in writing across multiple disciplines
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience working in pharma or other highly regulated sectors is desirable.
