Introduction to role:
As Director, Corporate Brand & Creative, you will work across the AstraZeneca and Alexion Corporate Communications teams and the Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) network supporting a differentiated and trusted corporate brand and reputation. You will ensure high-quality creative standards by leading the delivery of signature corporate brand programs and advising other teams on their brand and creative output. Our signature corporate brand programs include strategic evaluation and development of the AstraZeneca and Alexion corporate brands, a brand engagement and guardianship program, a flagship global corporate campaign, and the translation of the corporate brand into quality business applications, assets, and communications.
Accountabilities:
- Lead delivery of key corporate AstraZeneca and Alexion brand activities and assets, ensuring results and performance.
- Oversee AstraZeneca and Alexion corporate creative standards, continuously innovating and improving.
- Manage corporate brand assets and guidelines.
- Partner with global, regional, and market teams to support high-quality, creative content delivery and ensure brand adherence.
- Apply takeaways from data analysis to drive improvements, adopting effective strategies.
- Ensure all corporate communications share a unified look and feel that reflect the company’s business priorities, strategy, and brand.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day work of a Senior Manager, Corporate Brand & Creative in delivering key programs and activities.
- Oversee external suppliers, agencies, and contracts as required.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ brand and design experience in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team
- Significant experience managing different stakeholder relationships and advising senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of digital and social media with a ‘digital-first’ mindset for brand and creative content
- Experience in measurement and using data and research to drive brand and communications efforts
- Experience working with international teams or on projects with international dimensions
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead complex projects
- Experience translating technical content into on-brand materials for a broad range of audiences
- Strong visual judgment, attention to detail, and design oversight skills
- Ability to develop and maintain networks across business and cultural boundaries
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and flexibly, think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed environment
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience working in pharma or other highly regulated sectors is desirable
