MISSION

In a moment of complete transformation, we need to grasp and boost the power of Innovation and Digital Strategy (IDS) to translate them into knowledge and impact on the healthcare ecosystem. 

This role is key to help transform the company towards a holistic view of the needs of the healthcare system and patients, including exploring and defining the Patient Journey and in-depth understanding of the impact of data-driven decision-making; thus being able to prioritize business actions aimed at improving performance, activity, dynamism and competitiveness indicators, among others. 

This role will be responsible for laying the foundations for the generation of insights that help transform AZ’s business model, facilitating its implementation and monitoring through different systems and processes. All this, in order to contribute to the achievement of company objectives.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key areas Responsabilities / Functions

1. Business Performance & Alignment

· Drives a “customer in” mindset by consistently gather, analyze and leverage customer data to feed business decision making.

· Supports the achievement of AZ business goals by implementing a competitive and fair incentives scheme aligned with key priorities.

· Leads the process of strategic objectives setting and its subsequent territorial deployment.

· Partners with Customer Engagement, Tech & Data & Execution Team to produce relevant insights through data and to answer to the business key questions.

· Ensures optimal coordination between the business needs identified by the BP and the tools and data architecture provided by Tech & Data.

· Promotes transformation by identifying business needs and developing actionable plans based on the value of data in collaboration with the Business Excellence BPs and Data & Analytics.

· Reviews and improves cross-functional compensation plans to ensure alignment with the company’s strategy. · Ensures ongoing upskilling of data analysis and market insights in line with AZ standards.

· Identifies and gains a thorough understanding of key challenges in the data-driven decision-making transformation model and identifies value propositions to accelerate change management.

· Delivers the power of data for best-in-class decision making at business level and finds opportunities to automate processes.

· Orchestrates cross-functional efficiencies and alignment between therapeutic areas.

· Ensures monitoring of performance and outcomes to secure impact and timeliness.

· Develops and monitors the Strategic Workforce Planning to identify and bridge gaps between current and required future workforce needs to meet strategic goals and objectives.

2. Business Excellence Support & Guidance

· Demonstrates strong curiosity with a multidisciplinary approach. Performs effective cross functional leadership and team change management skills.

· He/she is a core player for the effective leadership, management, and cross collaboration of the Business Excellence team.

· He/she is responsible for establishing an Internal strategic consulting model, focusing on the implementation of the IDS strategy across the team.

· Acts as a point of integration and collaboration for AZ brands, in order to ensure full 360-degree approach to account management.

· Pulls in expertise and cross-functional resources to support Business Excellence Business Partners.

3. Innovation and Digital Culture

· Supports the creation of a decisions-based-in-data approach across the organization.

· Generates high level of accountability on implementation and cascading of working model, and execution timelines.

· Transfers a strong and competitive digital mindset across the team, projects and communications.

· Creates a culture of curiosity towards impactful innovation, bringing knowledge, skills and capabilities from other sectors to the team.

4. Compliance

· Guarantees that all activities related to the job comply with applicable external and internal regulations (policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and code of conduct).

3. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

· Bachelor's degree in science and/or business and Masters on a related field.

· More than 5 years of strategic and analytical experience in consulting or strategic projects, or in relevant analytical roles.

· Previous experience in establishing and managing strategic partners.

· Proven decision-making autonomy and accountability

· Demonstrated operational skills and performance delivery, ideally in leading transformational change.

· Proficient in planning and decision making.

· Strong business acumen and high capacity to develop relevant insights and to take decisions based on data.

· Negotiation / Influencing skills.

· Excellent level of spoken and written English (level C1)

Desirable.

· Proven experience in setting up strategic projects and working models in the pharmaceutical industry.

· Proven working experience and proficiency in strategy assessment and planning of digitaltransformation, innovation strategy and business strategy.

· Updated with the latest trends and best practices in business innovation, including digital strategy, healthcare innovation and data driven decision making.

· Strong capability in developing governance and monitoring systems, working in high complexity environments with multiple stakeholders

The requirements to opt for an internal position are: to have been in their current position for 1 year, to keep their direct manager informed of their participation in the process, not to have established a current Improvement Plan.
