Accountabilities:

The Workplace Device Services Director has end to end accountability for the services that are delivered through the physical devices that employees use on a day to day basis. This includes service strategy, performance and availability along with the definition and delivery of a world class catalogue and strategic standards.  The services in the remit of this role include Laptops, Desktops, Mobile, Print and Video Conferencing – driving the roadmap to ensure we remain at the groundbreaking of technology innovation to improve the employee experience and efficiency.  The role is accountable for currency, partner and supplier contract and service delivery management, technology roadmap and refresh.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience
  • Industry recognized experience in managing global, enterprise teams with a successful track record in driving technology and organisational transformation and simplification
  • Significant experience in the management and delivery of large scale, refresh programmes
  • Significant experience in the management and delivery of 3rd party service agreements
  • Experience in leading global organisations and providing leadership/development to other managers
  • Collaborative, Innovative, Win: Win Attitude
  • Forward thinking and independent perspectives on Technology and IT leaderships
  • Evidence of leading and developing strategic solutions and business cases providing measurable business Value (Idea through to Delivery/Measurement)
  • Experience of defining strategies and influencing the vision of senior leaders
  • Alignment with AZ Values and Behaviours
  • Sound technical knowledge of the technology, platforms and services across ETS
  • Agile Enterprise mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter who continuously develops new skills and proactively leads own career and development.
  • Excellent influencing, networking and collaborative working skills
  • Able to lead difficult discussions, manage expectations and deliver solutions across complex partner groups.
  • Ability to work well in and lead/collaborate across diverse matrixed global teams.
  • Expertise in change management and problem solving.
  • Experienced sustainable relationship management skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working in the Biopharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry
  • SDLC, Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working in different countries/cultures.
  • Confidence presenting to large internal and external audiences.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $172,245.60 to $258,368.40. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
