As the Tozorakimab Global Medical Affair Leader, you'll be at the forefront of strategic business initiatives, working directly with the Medical Head of Tozorakimab. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend your medical expertise with insights from various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patients, and health systems, to craft and execute top-tier medical strategies for AstraZeneca's medicines globally. As a vital member of the Global Medical Team, you'll act as a strategic partner across medical, R&D, and commercial functions, bridging the gap between the Global Product Team and regional medical teams. Your efforts will empower medical teams worldwide to deliver exceptional product launches, transform health systems, and accelerate clinical trials. Are you ready to lead and innovate?

Accountabilities:

  • Launch & Performance: Drive outstanding product launches by developing strategies, scientific narratives, and critical metrics. Assess performance against objectives and take proactive action.
  • Scientific Leadership: Develop and communicate world-class medical content and compelling science narratives for products and market-shaping initiatives.
  • Innovator: Identify and scale best practices across countries to drive market growth.
  • Evidence: Design evidence needs and clinical studies to differentiate AstraZeneca medicines and support healthcare change initiatives.
  • External Scientific Engagement: Lead ambitious external engagement agendas with global leaders, societies, health organizations, and decision-makers.
  • Business Partner: Collaborate across medical functions and cross-functionally to deliver strategically important medical resources and scientifically accurate commercial materials.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • BSc or master’s with 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Medical, Marketing, R&D, Market access roles), or experience working within a relevant health system setting (clinical, pharmacy, pathway design etc.)
  • Demonstration of strategic and medical leadership prowess pre- and post-product launch, including the ability to define evidence needs, create compelling scientific narratives & strategy, influence & mobilize others.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Doctoral level degree: MD, PhD, or PharmD or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in the relevant or related TA
  • Experience of delivering results in a complex environment
  • Experience launching new products or indications
  • Strong working relationships with global clinical leaders with a point of view, professional societies, and other healthcare industries/organizations
  • Proven ability to build internal and external networks and to collaborate
  • Evidence generation experience—working on clinical trials or real-world evidence programs

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $193,281.60 - 289,922.40 USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
