The Senior Manager, Field Reporting and Operations serves as the primary point of contact between US Oncology field teams, Field Enablement, and the Analytics, Data, and Reporting (ADR) team. This position is tasked with identifying and collecting field reporting requirements, translating business needs, and facilitating the provision of actionable insights. Furthermore, the role emphasizes automation, process simplification, and standardization across field enablement activities, while also managing ad-hoc operational support for the field.

This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive a high degree of customer service and business alignment. Within the Oncology Business Excellence team, this role will report to the Director, Field Deployment and Incentives based in our Gaithersburg, Maryland office.

Typical Accountabilities:

Field Reporting 

  • Act as the primary liaison to field leadership and teams, soliciting, clarifying, and documenting reporting, analytics, and business insight needs.

  • Lead structured requirements gathering sessions and maintain ongoing dialogue with field stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for the ADR team to enable timely, relevant, and user-friendly reporting solutions.

  • Support validation and user testing of reports and dashboards, ensuring outputs meet field expectations and business objectives.

  • Facilitate regular feedback loops and communications to continuously improve reporting tools and resolve field reporting challenges.

  • Partner with the OL&CD team to create training, documentation, and communications to ensure field users understand and adopt new or updated reporting solutions.

Field Operations & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize field enablement processes, driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Coordinate and manage ad-hoc operational support initiatives for the field (e.g., RxVantage administration, roster management, and field directory maintenance) as needed.

  • Collaborate within OBEX, Compliance, and other enabling functions to align on best practices and support field operational excellence.

  • Track, monitor, and report key operational metrics to inform continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years of Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare commercial experience (Sales, Sales Management, Marketing, Commercial Operations) in roles of progressive responsibility with a consistent track record of strong performance.

  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.

  • The ability to hold yourself and others accountable

  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple areas or accountability (both direct and indirect)

  • Strong commitment to customer success and customer experience

Desirable Experience/Skills

  • Experience designing and deploying reporting platforms (PBI, Qlik, Tableau, etc)

  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships that influence with and without authority.

  • Demonstrated excellence in communication both written and orally.

  • Experience managing external partners and vendors.

  • Forward thinking and ability to adapt and flex according to business needs and priorities.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. Advanced Degree preferred.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $138,000 to $208,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
