Oncology Market Access Strategy Director

In this role, you will collaborate with a wide breadth of AstraZeneca and partner organization’s cross-functional teams, to craft and deliver on the product value proposition for patients, providers, and payers to facilitate access and reimbursement. Areas of focus will include development and refinement of the brand clinical and economic value story as well as the access dimension of brand planning, formulation of strategies for payers and providers, and enabling account director success through clear articulation of strategy and provision of high impact customer assets. You will also have the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert in market access with high visibility among leadership in AstraZeneca. The successful candidate will have an ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change, work effectively within cross-functional teams both locally and globally, be highly innovative and creative, and demonstrate their passion for supporting patients throughout their journey.
Accountabilities
In this pivotal role, you will direct the U.S. market access strategy for a novel cancer treatment, ensuring that its value is recognized and realized. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic approaches that drive access and affordability for patients. Your work will involve pioneering value-based agreements and innovative strategies with payers, ensuring that our medicines reach those who need them most. Are you ready to make a difference?
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical market Payer Marketing, Brand Marketing, Insight & Analytics, and/or Management Consulting.
- Hematology experience.
- Strong understanding of the US market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals.
- Willingness to travel domestically (up to 25%).
Desirable Skills/Experience
- MBA or Advanced Degree in relevant field.
- Experience in customer facing roles.
- Ability to work independently and experience developing and executing strategy.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment.
- Results oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
