Manufacturing Alarm Management Summer Intern

We are seekingundergraduate junior students majoring in Business, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science or a related field for a 12-Week Student Intern role to be working in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.

Position Duties:

  • Alarm data collection and identification (bioreactors, incubators, shaker platforms, etc.)

  • Categorization of alarms (such as critical vs. non-critical, process alarms vs. equipment alarms)

  • Hands-on experience with alarm management systems in a GMP manufacturing department.

  • Optimize alarm systems contributing to operational efficiency and compliance.

  • Conducting gap analysis and criticality assessment.

  • Alarm communication strategy.

Position Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Junior students majoring in Business, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Project Management, Computer Science or a related field.

  • Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.

  • Technical documentation, attention to detail, data collection & analysis, team collaboration, problem-solving skills, time management and organizational skills are required.

  • Gowning into a GMP clean room environment will be required for this role.

  • Experience in Automation and/or Alarm Management is a plus.

  • Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

  • Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.

  • US Work Authorization is required at time of application.

  • This role will not be providing CPT/OPT support.

  • Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.

  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
