Manufacturing Operations Summer Internships
We are seeking Undergraduate sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in Chemistry, biology, biotechnology, chemical engineering, bioengineering, computer science/engineering, or similar field for a 10-week student internship role with contract dates from June 2nd, 2025 – August 8th, 2025.
Position Duties:
The Manufacturing Operations group will host interns across the below 3 projects:
Downstream Manufacturing:
- Review MFG input and materials to evaluate reductions in waste efforts
- Evaluate process improvements and visual analysis
Manufacturing Central Services:
- Assess daily inputs to create an effective measurement of the department production metrics.
- Update departmental procedures to resolve identified gaps.
Manufacturing Technical Operations:
- Working with the Manufacturing Technical Operations team to build training material and better formalize training programs to support the various roles within the Technical Operations department.
- Support campaign readiness and new product introduction
- Support adoption/creation of digital tools such as Sharepoint, Power BI and Snowflake
- Engage cross functionally to drive site initiatives, manufacturing projects and continuous improvements
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in Chemistry, biology, biotechnology, chemical engineering, bioengineering, computer science/engineering, or similar field.
- **Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
- MS Office with Excel experience is required
- PowerBI or other data visualization / dashboard management experience is a plus.
- Coding skills such as python are a plus
- Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
- US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
- Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa (e.g., CPT, H1-B, F-1 (OPT), TN, or other non-immigrant status). This role will not be providing CPT or OPT support.
- Ability to report onsite to Frederick, MD 5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance, and local candidates will be prioritized.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
