What you’ll do
As Medical Affairs Intern you will work on meaningful tasks and projects with real implications, applying your knowledge and broadening your skills. You will be member of a Therapeutic Area’s Medical Affairs team, helping the team to uncover, understand, and fulfil unmet medical needs through the generation of scientific evidence and to deliver scientific value to key stakeholders and patients. Medical Affairs team engage in scientific exchange activities with Key External Experts independent of commercial department. Through these activities, medical affairs ensures that patients receive optimal medical care.
You will have full access to a broad range of learning & development opportunities, from structured curricula delivered locally or curated in our global platforms, to involvement in various initiatives and quality interactions with diverse professionals in AZ.
Your contribution will include:
- Support in interpreting and adding value to scientific information by generating relevant outputs which are defensible and tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals;
- Supporting the medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials;
- Medical Affairs events – planning and documentation support;
- Internal capability development: training materials, support training session;
- Operational support to the day-to-day Medical Affairs activities;
- Other activities and involvement in cross-functional initiatives as guided by a mentor.

Who are you
Fresh graduate or student in final year or master program in a field related to healthcare, bio-technology, life sciences;
Strong demonstrated interest in the pharmaceutical science and industry;
Solid analytical skills and passion for scientific reasearch;
Being a 'fast-learner' with curiousness and proactive self-development approach;
Solid communication and collaboration skills; initiative and positive energy;
Self-management skills e.g. well-organized, task ownership, balanced courage and thoughtful assertiveness;
Very good level of written and spoken English;
Digital citizen, familiar with Office suite as well as actively interested in modern technology and channels.
