This apprenticeship programme will not be available for 2025
About the programme
Capital projects is part of our BioPharmaceuticals Research and Development business unit. The capital projects team deliver crucial construction projects, safely, on time, to a high standard, while limiting the impact to the people, and the science happening, inside. We’re a key part of driving the scientific innovation here.
You’ll be part of a team supporting all capital investments across our business from Cambridge and Whitechapel to Alderley Park in Cheshire, every one focused on Medicines Development. You’ll work closely with the project team in Macclesfield, the UK home of our manufacturing capability. As well as supporting our AZUK Commercial business.
And you’ll get involved in varied and interesting projects from day 1. From full laboratory and office refurbishments to the replacement of large Mechanical & Electrical plant.
How does the programme work?
On this 2.5-year apprenticeship, you’ll be part of the southern capital project team. Working alongside industry professionals and gaining in-depth, hands-on experience.
You’ll be studying for a Level 4 (HNC) Construction Site Supervisor. We’ll fund your course, and 20% of your time will be spent on your studies. Your learning will be a blend of online and face-to-face sessions.
How we will support you
We’re huge advocates of early careers, and we all want you to succeed. Bring us the passion and energy and we’ll support you all the way, encouraging you to fulfil all your potential.
You’ll get excellent development opportunities and play a crucial role in your team. We’ll also help and encourage you to network and socialise with your peers so you can see the impact of your creativity and ideas.
From day 1, your line manager, a mentor and a buddy from the business will be there to support you. As an existing or ex-apprentice your buddy will really help you to immerse yourself in the company and your new role.
