Workplace AI Enablement Lead
Job Purpose
The Workplace AI enablement Lead is pivotal in enabling AstraZeneca’s vision for a scalable, business-empowered, and well-governed Workplace AI ecosystem. You will lead the design, delivery, and scaling of AI pilots and frameworks, ensuring that business teams across the enterprise can rapidly and responsibly build, deploy, and manage AI agents that transform how we work.
Typical Accountabilities
- Scope and Design Workplace AI Frameworks
Develop and continuously improve the frameworks, processes, and guardrails that enable business and technical teams to build, test, and scale AI agents efficiently and securely, in line with the Agent Factory operating model - Plan and Oversee Delivery of AI Pilots
Lead the execution of workplace AI pilots and proof-of-concepts, ensuring they are well-scoped, time-bound, measurable, and designed for production-readiness and business value. - Empower Business Teams
Enable and upskill business functions and federated squads to become self-sufficient in AI agent development, providing guidance, training, and access to the right tools and environments. - Establish Governance and Enablement Processes
Implement robust governance, risk assessment, and reporting mechanisms to ensure compliance, security, and reusability of AI agents and connectors across the enterprise. - Manage Cross-Functional Delivery Squads
Lead and coordinate agile, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver pilots and frameworks, fostering a culture of responsible experimentation, reuse, and continuous improvement. - Maintain a Pipeline of AI Opportunities
Identify, prioritise, and manage a pipeline of high-value workplace AI use cases, balancing quick wins with strategic, longer-term bets. - Champion Standards and Best Practice
Drive adoption of standardised patterns, shared training assets, and reusable components to maximise impact, avoid duplication, and accelerate business transformation.
Technology Scope
- AI agent platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Google AgentSpace, conversational agents)
- Agent operating model and governance frameworks
- Workplace collaboration tools integrated with AI
- Automation and agent-based workflows
- Connector enablement and lifecycle management
- Analytics and observability tools for agent usage and value measurement
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in workplace AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of AI agent technologies, frameworks, and governance
- Ability to design and implement scalable processes and enablement models
- Skilled in project management, agile delivery, and cross-functional team leadership
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity of working in an international, multi-time zone support environment.
Desirable
- Experience with federated innovation models and citizen development
- Familiarity with connector governance, risk management, and compliance
- Background in large-scale enterprise or regulated environments
