Introduction to the Role:

Join AstraZeneca as a Senior IT Project Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering impactful projects within our Operations Technology (OT) landscape. In this fast-paced and sophisticated environment, you will be at the heart of driving project success, leading and coordinating end-to-end delivery within budget and timelines. As a leader, facilitator, and expert in project management methodologies, you will ensure our IT projects directly contribute to AstraZeneca's mission of developing life-changing medicines.

What You'll Do:

• Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead small to medium-sized IT projects and programs, taking full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks. Drive projects from initiation to successful completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and AstraZeneca's values.
• Key Partner & Risk Management: Proactively monitor, reassess, and control project key business partners, risks, and dependencies, mitigating potential roadblocks and ensuring smooth project progression.
• Financial Management & Planning: Manage project finances, including accurate forecasting and timely accruals. Develop and communicate clear project roadmaps showcasing business benefits, in collaboration with key partners.
• Vendor Management: Effectively manage third-party vendor relationships, negotiating Statements of Work, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and costs to ensure value and alignment.
• Communication & Collaboration: Lead and facilitate seamless communication across project teams, dependent functional areas, and key partners. Foster team motivation, engagement, and alignment on expectations and responsibilities.
• Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce project governance, ensuring compliance with AstraZeneca's project management standards, good practices, and applicable regulations. Champion continuous improvement in project management practices.
• Transition & Knowledge Management: Develop and coordinate transition plans for handover to operations teams. Capture and share lessons learned to enhance future project success.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business field.
• Formal certification or training in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Shown experience leading all aspects of projects: scope, budget, risk, resources, and quality.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Extensive experience working in global organizations and managing small to medium end-to-end IT projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing demanding deadlines and diverse business partners.
• Experience leading various IT projects, such as platform integrations, infrastructure, and IT/OT implementations.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or quality domains is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in setting up project governance and processes.
• Ability to support technical teams in structuring demands and implementing new technologies.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and ensuring deliverable quality.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading large-scale projects.
• Experience within the Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with GxP environments.
• Experience with Data Historians, MES, or OT systems.
