SAP S/4HANA Data Expert – Planning (NS&SCP)
Introduction to the Role
Are you ready to be part of a transformative journey at AstraZeneca? As anS/4 Data Expert – Planning, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data landscape. You'll be instrumental in defining business data requirements within the S/4 HANA design process, ensuring that existing ECC data is fit for purpose at the point of migration to S/4 HANA. Aligned with Planning (NS&SCP – Network Strategy & Supply Chain Planning EPO Area), this role offers the opportunity to proactively engage with the wider business, including data offices, governance forums, and other key stakeholders.
Accountabilities
Data Standards Development: Support the definition, documentation, and implementation of S/4 Enterprise Data standards related to NS&SCP, including master data, reference data, and metadata.
Process Design Support: Apply data, process, and object expertise to support S/4 process design, considering both business process and analytics requirements.
Alignment with Enterprise Data Design: Collaborate with current business data capabilities to ensure alignment between S/4 design and the wider enterprise data design.
Data Delivery Prioritization: Influence the prioritization of data delivery related to NS&SCP and manage reporting on progress to relevant stakeholders.
Change Management: Support the change journey from current to future state data design, including performing change impact assessments and outlining critical use case examples.
Integration of Non-SAP Systems: Ensure non-SAP system requirements are understood and considered in the data design.
Data Governance Strategy: Contribute to the development of the S/4 Data Governance Strategy and Roadmap, collaborating with business data offices and the S/4 Data & Analytics leadership team.
Data Quality Strategy Implementation: Assist in developing the S/4 Data Quality Strategy and secure its execution, ensuring data remains fit for purpose post-deployment.
Data Cleanse and Migration: Contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate strategy and execution approaches, including supporting project data migration processes and coordinating pre- and post-load business sign-off.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with the S/4 HANA Data Governance Framework and AstraZeneca Global Data Standards.
Lifecycle Data Governance: Assist in creating effective global procedures to govern each data asset throughout its lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience
Domain Expertise: Significant experience and expertise in Planning/NS&SCP. Demonstrable knowledge of how business data requirements support process execution and analytics, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to business users.
Data Standards Implementation: Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing Data Standards for a global enterprise with a significant geographical and functional footprint.
SAP Proficiency: SAP working knowledge across transactions and reporting, including an understanding of data integration within an SAP architecture.
Business/IT Collaboration: Experience in partnering with Business and IT for the implementation of Data Governance-related solutions.
Global Working Experience: Experience working across cultures and in a global environment.
Communication Skills: Good communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to manage negotiations across complex groups to reach target outcomes.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to deliver effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure goals and outcomes are achieved.
Desirable Skills & Experience
S/4 HANA Implementation Experience: Experience with S/4 HANA implementation programs.
Industry Experience: Experience in life sciences and healthcare sectors.
Data Governance Expertise: Experience in Data Governance practices.
Data Quality Management: Experience in measuring, managing, and improving Data Quality.
Business Process Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant key business processes.
