Job Description

Join us as a Market Supply Coordinator in our multifaceted Operations team at AstraZeneca. This key role acts as the operational point of contact between Operations and Commercial, linking the Marketing Company (MC) and Supply Organisation for Supply and Market Intelligence. This role of an outstanding unique opportunity to work across two SET areas (Operations & Commercial), facilitating access to patients with our exciting portfolio of new products. The Market Supply Coordinator works in close partnership with the aligned Market Company Account Manager (MCAM) for the relevant markets.

Accountabilities

Demand Management

The Market Supply Coordinator has a key role to handle products in the Monthly and Weekly Demand Processes.

•  Act as the day-to-day operational customer interface

•  Key contributor in the Market pre-IBP and IBP (as appropriate for the market)

•  Management of Forecast Accuracy & Bias MAPE

•  Responsible for Demand Validation 

•  Monitoring of forecast vs sales in current month. Handle /analyse short term demand changes and events; ensure it is aligned with rules of engagements with the supply organisation. Identify where there is a concern and agree next steps with the MC.

•  Approval and release of ad hoc forecasts.

•  Master Data – ensure planning systems reflect true demand by management of i.e master data parameters, consumption settings, split pattern and past due demand elements.

•  Meetings - attend/lead Execution Planning Meetings, Market Pre -IBP, IBP, and TIER meetings as appropriate.

Planning - activities are dependent on the region / market, but can include the following:

•  Alert Management; stock outs, projected stock outs and projected low stocks alerts, including RCA and critical issues (TIER) and interaction with supplying sites/NSP: s in case of issues

•  APO CMI Demand & Supply Planning including PO creation

•  OMP MTSD and MTO planning including PO creation

•  Master data review and update for CMI

•  Shelf-life management

•  Pack change process support (up to order placement)

Product Life Cycle

The Market Supply Coordinator supports Local, Regional and Global Projects and Initiatives as a contributor. These can include:

•  Product Discontinuation – Support last stock to Market agreement and ensure accurate demand signals and required Master Data set up.

•  Pack Change /Artwork Change - Support different types of pack changes i.e artwork  (where required), ensure accurate demand signals and required Master Data.

•  Divestments/ Acquisitions - Support project, ensure accurate demand signals and required Master Data set up.

Experience Required

The role is focussed on communication, relationships, and data analysis.  Experience and strengths in these areas therefore would be beneficial.  

• Demand Planning Experience

• Supply Chain planning methodology

• Planning systems knowledge, including ECC, APO, OMP

• Forecasting and demand analysis

• Analytical and reporting skills, and data interpretation

• Collaborator and customer leadership skills  

• Confident communication skills

• Collaborative working skills, especially across cultures

Desirable

• Experience in employing Lean tools to deliver improvements

• Statistical forecasting

• Commercial experience

• APICs certification
