Introduction to the Role:

Join a team with the support and investment needed to succeed! As a Director within the I&O Edge and Data Management team, you will oversee IT, OT, and SRE teams, developing and automating highly scalable infrastructure using modern technologies. You will also be responsible for implementing performance and operational monitoring to ensure scalability and enable rapid diagnosis and resolution of service disruptions or degradations. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution to ensure efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and quality delivery throughout the infrastructure life cycle of products or services.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the reliability of our systems and services.
  • Lead the implementation of architecture, SRE, and operational best practices by incorporating automation, monitoring, and proactive incident management into our operations.
  • Design scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions, including data centers, cloud environments, networks, and storage/backup systems.
  • Drive efficiency through automation by optimizing deployment processes and enhancing the scalability of our infrastructure.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, including 5+ years in team management.
  • Experience with enterprise technologies such as Linux, and Windows operating systems, and database and data management products.
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including data centres, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, and storage.
  • Proficiency with continuous integration and deployment processes and tools like Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of networking and cloud concepts and protocols.
  • Good understanding of IT and OT concepts.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code design, implementation, and operation.
  • Strong understanding of security practices, compliance requirements, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong experience in service delivery with a focus on customer experience.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, as well as budgeting and finance concepts.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective resource management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
