What you'll do

  • Lead the Gross to Net (GTN) Cash and Working Capital forecasting and budgeting process.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with external and internal partners to assess impacts on Cash, Working Capital, and financial outcomes due to contracting, channel mix, and business changes.

  • Support brand teams in their monthly managed market close process, identify issues and trends, and present the monthly CFO close package to senior leaders.

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in this high-risk area.

  • Maximize finance contributions to achieve business objectives.

  • Provide quality financial and commercial input to investment decisions, challenge forecasting assumptions, and deliver expert financial analysis of performance, forecasts, risks, and sensitivities.

  • Participate in a global network of Finance Business Partners, Managers, and Analysts to share standard processes and deliver consistent support globally.

  • Develop a bottoms-up Forecast of GTN Payments for RBUs and Latest Views, including commentary and analysis on movements versus forecasts and prior period actuals.

  • Ensure GTN liabilities are accurate by collaborating closely with Finance personnel across Therapeutic Areas for consistency and understanding of methodologies.

  • Monitor GTN payments by account, influence decisions, and evaluate performance against forecast with commentary and analysis on movements.

  • Report GTN payment forecasts clearly and concisely, along with reviews of actual performance compared to expected results.

  • Partner with Market Access stakeholders to support contract development and assess Working Capital impacts.

  • Support contracting efforts by evaluating Working Capital implications of changes.

  • Leverage data for strategic insights into financial trends and Working Capital drivers.

  • Build a cross-functional network to address analytical and operational questions.

  • Provide insights into Working Capital implications of legislative changes.

  • Anticipate and evaluate financial risks and opportunities impacting GTN results.

  • Perform routine Actual vs Budget analysis of legislative changes for organizational awareness and planning.

  • Work closely with Global Financial Services team specific to functions supported by this role.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 5+ years diversified financial experience

  • 5 years experience supporting the pharmaceutical industry 

  • Experience in a brand leadership role and/or dealing with senior management

  • Knowledge of US operating model

  • Excellent PC skills and experience including Hyperion Planning, SAP, Excel and PowerPoint, ModelN and Anaplan

  • Strong analytical ability and strategic influencing skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including oral and written 

  • Able to perform in an environment that emphasizes teamwork

  • Proven ability to successfully work as a change agent in a dynamic work environment

  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

  • Able to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities

  • Proven capability to meet deadlines with a high level of ownership and strong sense of urgency

Desirable for the role

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred, and/or public accounting background

  • Brand knowledge and experience

  • Pharmaceutical/ Managed Market GTN experience preferred

  • Demonstrated strong upward career trajectory, with drive, ambition, and demonstrated sound judgment.
