Senior Finance Manager, Gross-to-Net

As the Senior Finance Manager for Gross-to-Net Finance, you'll be at the forefront of financial forecasting and impact analysis, taking on emerging legislative threats and supporting key liabilities. You'll be the go-to finance partner for US Market Access and Corporate Affairs, driving strategic decisions and performance reporting.

Accountabilities:

  • Analyze financial impact of proposed government legislation on AZ financials, liaising closely with the state and federal government affairs teams.

  • Manage the liability relating to Health Care Reform (HCR) Excise fee, providing guidance to the brand teams during forecast cycles, monitoring variances between forecast and actual invoices, and ensuring timely payment to the IRS.

  • Manage gross-to-net liabilities relating to product returns, distribution service agreements (DSA), and coupons, including monthly close, forecast guidance for MTP/RBUs.

  • Assist in SAP rate approvals on a quarterly basis or as required.

  • Responsible for preparing in-depth financial analysis of forecasts and actual results for review by business customers.

  • Provide financial advice, support, and business challenge to business customers on key business decisions.

  • Assist with creation and delivery of USLT and BBU LT presentations.

  • Liaise with AZ SOX team and PWC to ensure compliance with all SOX guidelines and requirements.

  • Work closely with Global Financial Services team specific to functions supported by this role.

  • Perform ad-hoc reporting requirements and work on special projects as necessary.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • B.S. Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 5+ years of financial experience

  • Knowledge of US operating model

  • Excellent PC skills and experience including SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including oral and written

  • Confidence in working with Senior Management

  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment that emphasizes teamwork to meet deliverables

  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities

  • Demonstrated capability to meet strict deadlines with a high level of ownership and strong sense of urgency

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry preferred
