Job Title: Global Head, Cell Therapy Field Clinical Advisors
Are you ready to lead a global team dedicated to advancing cell therapy? As the Global Head of Cell Therapy Field Clinical Advisors, you will report to the VP of Cell Therapy Clinical Operations and spearhead the leadership of field-based advisors. Your focus will be on pipeline engagement, clinical study protocol management, and patient identification. This role requires collaboration across various teams, including Clinical Development, Program Management, and Medical Affairs, to ensure the success of our cell therapy initiatives. You will be responsible for performance management, capability building, and strategic planning within the department. Accountabilities:
- Position AstraZeneca as a leader in Cell Therapy.
- Drive deep knowledge of AstraZeneca's early pipeline in Cell Therapy internally and externally.
- Establish and lead a global team of Cell Therapy Field Clinical Advisors.
- Ensure timely site support in the field regarding protocol requirements and patient safety management.
- Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
- Engage externally with industry leaders to incorporate innovation into Cell Therapy Operations.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline.
- Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations, and in small group dialogues.
- Ability to navigate within a matrix environment.
- 2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience.
- Proven expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences.
- Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols.
- Basic understanding of key Healthcare systems across Regions, clinical trial methodology, statistics, and regulatory environments.
- Excellent project management ability.
- Ability to travel (40-60% by car, train, and plane domestic).
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical and pharmaceutical drug development processes.
- Experience working internationally with major markets/resolution of international issues.
- Business planning skills with knowledge/experience of planning processes used in leading drug projects.
- Risk and crisis management experience.
- Experience leading successful teams from more than one national culture.
- PhD degree in health science or science is strongly preferred.
