Visualisation Developer (2 years fix term)
Hybrid Work- 3 days/week from our office, 2 days/week remote
Clinical Data and Insights gathers all groups that work with clinical data in DevOps to drive an integrated end-to-end approach to clinical data, analytics, insights and risk.
Standards, Automation & Specialist Programming (SASP) – we drive the planning, execution and decision-making that enables trusted and reliable delivery of end to end standards, data for primary & secondary use, and visualisations and tools, which bring data to life.
Data Visualisation Delivery – We provide centralised, customer oriented, right time clinical data visualisations across functions. With a digital solution - dedicated web application we enable to create interactive visualizations of clinical trial data. Role is an entry level. Focuses on building data visualisation mapping skills and experience whilst performing simple Data Visualisation tasks under close supervision.
Typical Accountabilities
- Works under the supervision of more senior visualisation developer on simple to medium data visualization activities.
- Simple to medium profiling of data to set patterns to understand provenance, quality, metadata models, ownership and compliance to internal and external regulatory standards.
- Simple to medium mapping of data to support Data Visualization model generation and medical insight.
- Simple to medium design & testing of the quality and performance of visualization models in downstream reporting and analytics solutions.
- Processing of requests for compliant access to data.
- Supporting the provision of data understanding (structure, provenance, quality) to visualization customers to support use in medical review projects.
- Understands Risk, Assurance, Privacy, Information Security and Regulatory policies to ensure data and information controls are in place and adhered to.
- Clearly and objectively communicate data visualisations, as well as their associated uncertainties and limitations.
- Personal development and training in foundational data standards, visualization and mapping techniques and tooling.
- Takes steps to understand the roles and skills of other functions in drug development.
Essential
- BSc or BA degree in an Information, Mathematical, Statistical, Computer or Life Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience as data analyst or equivalent.
- The role holder will possess a blend of data requirement analysis, data quality analysis, data stewardship skills
- Experience in Agile methods to understand requirements and apply solutions.
- Experience in the use of metadata cataloguing tools
- Knowledge of key policies and standards for data covering areas such as privacy and security.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Good collaboration and consultancy skills.
- Awareness of the end to end processes and activities in the build and support of Data solutions.
- Experienced in applying a risk based methodology to data and information management.
Desirable
- Domain data understanding: the structure, provenance and meaning of the source data crucial to clinical domain.
- Understanding of the business processes in the generation and consumption of data
- Experience in working in multi-skilled, multi-location data teams, working to agile principles.
- Experience in life sciences and healthcare.
- Experience in a complex global organization.
