About the program
The Working in Science Internship Program is designed for last year's students and recent graduates who want to apply what they’ve learned in a real, global biotechnology environment. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects, gain mentorship, and develop skills that set you up for future success.

With expertise in CTA/IND submissions and product maintenance across the Oncology portfolio, we ensure robust regulatory support throughout the product lifecycle.

Our team works with colleagues across different regions and time zones to support global Oncology projects. We use our knowledge of processes, systems, and regulatory procedures to deliver high‑quality work efficiently and at scale. By staying flexible, working efficiently, and maintaining strong compliance, we help ensure timely regulatory activities that support delivery of new therapies worldwide.


General requirements:

  • Preferably bachelor degree in Life Sciences such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy,

  • Proficient verbal and written English

  • Proficient in using MS Office such as WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT

Required skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Desired project management and time management skills

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Cultural awareness

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

Key details

  • Eligibility: Final year students and recent graduates. Please review the specific requirements for each role.

  • Duration: 3 months, starting in July.

  • Working model: Hybrid, with partial on‑site presence.

  • Selection process: Application review against objective criteria, HireVue video responses, then a remote meeting with the recruiting team.

  • Timeline: Apply by 21 March 2026. Results by mid-April.

Important information

  • Completion of the internship does not guarantee contract extension or further employment at AstraZeneca. Future opportunities may be advertised separately and require a new application.
