The Internship Program at AstraZeneca is aimed at graduates and students of the last years of universities who want to use the knowledge gained during their studies in practice. Responsibilities:

Rapid advancements in digital technologies are remaking business supply chains and are poised to transform how the procurement function delivers value.

The Procurement Technology and Insights function delivers digital and technology expertise across Global Procurement at AstraZeneca and provides a critical link between data and technology to harness the power of our data to provide category and supplier insights. The team’s main responsibilities are maintaining and improving the technology platforms used by the organization to perform strategic procurement, enhance data accuracy, drive continuous improvements, and increase automation.

In this internship you will be exposed to a variety of activities like support and maintenance of source to contract software platform, enhancing platform user experience, data analytics, data storytelling, digital communication (depending on current business requirements). The position offers a unique insight into the application of the disruptive technologies to procurement.

In this internship you will work with a Global cross-functional team including Technology & Insights Procurement, Sustainable Procurement and AZ IT together with our 3rd Party Solution Vendor to design, implement, test, rollout, support and manage our Digital Platform that will accelerate the procurement digitalization efforts.  

Requirements:

Candidate must be a current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher (preferable fields: Supply Chain, Data Analytics, International Business, IT Management, Business Intelligence, Project Management) who has excelled in all aspects of their university experience as demonstrated by the results of their coursework, projects, and other collegiate activities. We are looking also for a student who is a creative, curious, dynamic, and open-minded person. You must possess natural curiosity to solve problems, be cooperative and energized by tough challenges. We would expect you to demonstrate entrepreneurial thinking, digital mindset and analytical skills. As the team members are located across the globe, we would expect you to feel confident in using English language skills every day.

All interns will:

• Undergo role-specific training and will be mentored by highly experienced professionals.

• Learn about AstraZeneca and a global pharmaceutical company work environment.

• Undertake real work, proactively collaborating with our experienced staff.

At the end of your internship you will receive a certificate and feedback from the team; many of our interns are successful applicants for permanent roles within our global clinical research centre!

Posting is closing 31st of March 2025. All submitted applications will be verified by us and assessed based on the objective criteria. Selected candidates will receive an invitation to introduce and present themselves using HireVue - a tool that allows to send answers to recruitment questions in the form of video recordings. On the final stage of the process, you will remotely meet the recruiting team consisting of representatives of a given department. At the end of April, we will announce a list of people for whom this year's internship program recruitment process was successful.

The internships will start in July and lasts 3 months.

We work in a hybrid scheme, be prepared to work partially office based.
