Oncology Medical Science Liaison Lead

Currently we are looking for Oncology Medical Science Liaison Lead who will lead the relevant Medical Science Liaison Team in their role of engaging with health care professionals/KEEs in high quality scientific exchange and clinical trials on current marketed products and development compounds in alignment with medical strategy.

Key tasks:

  • Delivery of defined objectives by the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team
  • Work with Medical Managers (MMs) to develop and implement the MSL strategy and tactics for each therapy area
  • Act as the key interface between the MSL team, MMs, and the relevant Therapy Area Lead ( including appropriate insights sharing)
  • Ensure MSL strategy and priorities are in alignment with medical plans and objectives for the relevant Therapy Area
  • Work with Therapy Area Lead to provide appropriate coaching for MSLs predominantly in a healthcare professional (HCP) and other relevant key stakeholders facing environment deploying an approach tailored to the need of each team member
  • In collaboration with the Therapy Area Lead, establish, communicate & monitor measurable performance objectives for individual staff and develop, implement and monitor of individual development plans to build capabilities
  • Ensure MSL activity is focussed on delivering a scientific value proposition to the HCP in every engagement using the SEM agreed by AZ

Experience:

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Technical or scientific background
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information
  • Understanding of Pharmaceutical Law, Infarma code and their practical application
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key thought leaders or investigators
  • Understanding of how the MSL strategy supports the medical strategy
  • Proven ability to work in a team
  • Chairing and facilitation skills
  • Ability to understand commercial development perspectives
