Market Access Lead Oncology

Currently we are looking forOncology Market Access Leadto join our Commercial Team in Poland. The Market Access Lead is a full-time position, leading and implementing market access strategies for oncology within AZ in the country.
What you will do?
The Market Access Lead will work very closely with the Market Access Director to deploy and adapt the AZ market access strategy to the local market, including tactics and execution.
The Market Access Lead develops and delivers strategic and operational Market Access plans for Oncology medicines, engages with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the reimbursement and access goals are achieved in line with business priorities and manages pricing and reimbursement contract processing, analysis and reporting. Contribute to the optimization of Market Access processes implementation and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies, understands and captures payer / stakeholder profiles, needs, environment and trends, and their implications for AstraZeneca. Contributes to tailoring the value story to successfully describe how AstraZeneca medicines will address the local needs by payer archetypes
- Develops and executes collaboration with key stakeholders to foster the long-term relationship, in line with AstraZeneca business priorities
- Drives product pricing and reimbursement analysis and recommendation, ensuring alignment with product value proposition, internal pricing guidance and local regulations. Maintains knowledge and understanding of access and funding pathways. Evaluates changing marketplace and proactively makes recommendations on pricing system, reimbursement conditions, national regulations
- Prepares and effectively presents business case recommendations for internal stakeholders incl. Senior Leaders
- Provides detailed assessment on healthcare budget and reimbursement contracting options. Monitors environment and practices for shifts in trends or behaviours, interprets likely impact and suggests appropriate actions. Effectively formulates and utilizes market research data
- Cross-functional collaboration with Medical and Commercial to understand the need and provide support to achieve access and/or remove and mitigate access blocks
- Drafts documents and deliverables in relation to submissions and contracting with local / national authorities
- Actively collaborates with Area / Regional Market Access Community for best practice sharing and insights
- Attends various Pharma working groups to shape future policy and raise AZ profile
- Demonstrate business ethics and ensure active respect of values, business ethics, local laws, policies and Marketing procedures. Ensure all activities and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct, supporting Policies and Standards and Company Values to protect and enhance long term performance and reputation
- Other duties within position’s scope, as assigned by Line Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- University degree (Medicine of Pharmacy preferred)
- Experience in liaising with pharmaceutical governmental bodies and other relevant external stakeholders relevant for access and reimbursement
- Excellent understanding of the health care and reimbursement environment, it’s stakeholders, relationships, related regulatory and legislative processes, challenges and opportunities
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated project management and analytical skills
- Fluency in Polish and English
