The S/4HANA IT Product Manager role is crucial in defining AstraZeneca's Global template, aligning with best practices and fit-to-standard approaches. As a member of the SAP S/4HANA IT design team, you'll define IT and data solutions supporting standardized business processes globally.
Focusing on Accounts Payable and Payments, you will support AstraZeneca's Global Purchase to Pay strategy, by defining an integrated IT solutions centered on S/4HANA, ensuring seamless integration between business processes, SAP solutions, and data objects.
Your responsibilities include creating solution documentation, aligning with AstraZeneca's testing standards, and gaining stakeholder agreement through governance forums. Collaborating with other Business Analysts and SMEs, you'll ensure the integration of leading-edge technology into AstraZeneca's global design. Engaging with Non-SAP teams and solution architects, you'll manage impacts on other applications.
During deployment, you'll ensure localization needs are met while preserving standardized solutions, aiding deployment teams in business change management, and supporting smooth migration and cutover. Your role in Hypercare management resolves capability issues swiftly. Throughout, you'll remain informed on evolving S/4HANA functionalities to guide both current and future designs.
Accountabilities:
IT Product Manager role will be at the centre of a significant Axial SAP S/4 HANA workstream programme working with the Procurement, Material Management and Accounts Payable business stakeholders to shape the future of our organization and technology we use to support it.
The IT Product Manager is expected to perform at Experienced Level the following:
- Business Capability (Product) Ownership – they will have end to end ownership of a defined set of business capabilities on Accounts Payable and Payments and will manage the implementation and support of technology used to support it. They will collaborate with the Enterprise Business Partner and Enterprise Process Leads (who will own the business process and requirements) and depend upstream and downstream Product leads and Non-SAP Leads to ensure there is a consistent and robust solution delivered to support the business.
- Project delivery - during the deployment of Axial they will be responsible for monitoring the delivery of the technology solution. They will use their knowledge and experience to ensure the best solution is delivered to meet AZ requirements while utilizing S/4 Fit to Standard functionality. They will also need to prioritize and schedle work and update/change with the support of the different project workstreams.
- Solution documentation – the product lead will be responsible for the appropriate documentation of the solution they are responsible for. This will mean there is a clearly documented understanding of the solution its dependencies and links to other processes, allowing future changes to be accurately assessed and implemented with no/minimal impact to the operational business.
- Stakeholder Analysis & Change - Effectively identifies stakeholders from all areas. Works and collaborates with other areas of Axial. Actively build and maintain relationships according to individual stakeholder needs and levels of influence.
- Testing scope – working with other product leads, process leads and the testing team the product lead will be responsible to ensure there is a comprehensive testing scope been defined and maintained.
- Support improvement – provide input to improvements of not just the technical solution but also the approach and ways of working in supporting the business capabilities.
- Business Needs Identification - Operates at a functional level in assessing and defining business need and areas for improvement. Actively monitors and identifies capability gaps and proposes potential solutions.
- Business Analysis Planning - Selects the appropriate analysis approach to a piece of work depending on its complexity, level of risk, known assumptions, constraints and dependencies. Proficient in scoping and recommending appropriate approaches. Capable of planning and managing their own and other team member’s activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
- Requirements Analysis and Design Definition - Responsible and accountable for requirements management Key Design Decision, including change requests, impact assessment, functional and technical documentations. Highly responsive to project priorities with ability to plan, accounting for potential changes and corrective actions. Keep up with the work with to identify functional and technical requirements, translating the requirements into design specifications reflecting Functional Design, User Interface Design and Business Process Design. Closely partnering with the Architecture team, SMEs, Non-SAP team ensuring the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits.
- Solution Evaluation - Highly proficient in analysing and assessing solution proposals and able to articulate supporting reasoning. i.e. assessing business readiness, maximizing etc.
Work collaboratively with:
- Enterprise Business Partner and Enterprise Process Leads to develop and maintain the relationship, support business process changes and act as point of contact for application development
- Application owners of specific payment systems & integration leads:
- Coupa, Iqvia, Cybergrants, Concur
- Data products in Snowflake, Datasphere, SAC
- Transparency reporting
- Workday & Veeva CRM
- Local payment solutions and interfaces, i.e. Eventos, Cognos
- Master data for customer, vendors & business partners in SAP MDG
- Various levels of Business and IT Stakeholders to ensure that solutions fulfil future strategic needs and challenges
- Identify business requirements and effectively communicate impact, and benefits of new and changed demands
- IT Architecture, Delivery and Support to ensure clear understanding of requirements and effective testing so that the solutions delivered to the business are efficient and effective, meeting the expectations.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst or Solution Architect
- 6+ years of professional experience working with SAP in the Procurement, Material Management and Accounts Payable functional area – FICO, MM, MDG
- Extensive experience in working with cross functional teams to deliver complex & global requirements
- Experience in successfully deploying IT systems to enable business change
- Engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including presentation and influencing
- Experience of virtual collaboration to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions
- Experience of working with and managing third party suppliers/vendors and integration partners
- Bachelor’s Degree (as minimum) required
- Experience working with team of people in different locations
Desirable:
- Externally recognized as a demonstrated leader in an area of their expertise
- Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working experience
- Professional Certification in SAP S/4HANA suite, SAP modules, Coupa admin, Concur admin, database architecture
