This role is part of a global O2C team which sits within Global Finance Services & Group Controllers function. The O2C team has responsibility for the design of the processes, the technology used and the operational delivery of the service.

The team has representation in both Cambridge and Luton (UK), Warsaw (Poland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and San Jose (Costa Rica). We are supported by Genpact operating from Delhi (India), Cluj (Romania), Lublin (Poland), Uberlândia (Brazil) and Guatemala City (Guatemala). AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations and insight. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • This position is highly collaborative, requiring you to engage with global stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively to maximise O2C dedicated technology e.g. HighRadius and ensure our global invoice-to-cash processes are accurately mapped and formally documented in Dozuki.
  • We want you to use your knowledge and expertise to identify potential opportunities to fix or improve existing solutions with a view to improving efficiency and effectiveness on an end-to-end basis.
  • Support your fellow O2C team members or commercial colleagues to provide enhancements to overcome operational challenges to positively influence business outcomes and improve our customers experience of doing business with AstraZeneca.
  • Use data and analytics to identify opportunities, develop business cases, drive and embed positive change.
  • Efficiency is important here at AstraZeneca so you will look at how technology can support processes with an emphasis on minimising manual intervention. You can also expect to benchmark the metrics against external comparators as well as identifying trends, investigating them and proposing corrective actions if needed.

Essential Requirements

  • Deep and broad knowledge with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of O2C in a global corporate environment utilising SAP
  • An expert at documenting high quality multiple level SOPs
  • Energetic, proactive and self-motivated with the capability to build strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders
  • Professional curiosity with a proven ability to investigate issues to ascertain true root cause, identify solutions and deploy successfully either independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills both orally and written
  • Educated to degree level with relevant professional qualification(‘s)
  • The ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Hybrid work - 3 days in a week from office mandatory


Desirable Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Dozuki, Celonis, HighRadius (collections cloud, cash application and deductions) and Esker (order management)
  • Relevant experience gained by working in both design and operational roles
  • Proven experience of delivering and managing change
