Associate Procurement Manager – Commercial

Typical Accountabilities:
As an Associate Procurement Manager your main responsibility is to play a key role in managing the end-to-end Source to Contract process independently.
- You have deep category knowledge to independently drive the S2C process, understands the category area specifics, business needs and priorities and applies them to the work.
- You drive E2E (End 2 End) S2C process independently, including identifying and mitigating the related risks. Shares expertise with procurement and business and influence decision making process.
- You support market research activities by issuing RFI, manage sourcing projects (incl. issue of RFP, RFQ) and conduct e-auctions.
- You analyze received proposals, make recommendations, prepare summary reports, applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis, tools, and methodologies. You have attention to detail when making decisions and recommendations.
- You run independently complex contracting projects, ensure contract renewals and leading new contracts creation – drafting, negotiations/renegotiations of the T&C’s and contract clauses.
- You enhance relations with Global Category Leaders and business stakeholders, ensuring high standards and ability to connect and build strong relationship with stakeholders across the globe (matrix organization)
- You know and apply Procurement Processes and Tools and actively drive Source to Contract process simplification, improvement, and optimization (process steps, internal ways of working, legal support model, documents, and templates etc.).
Skills and Experience
Essential
- At least 4 years of the work experience in the procurement department, preferably in the organization with a big or mature procurement organization, with experience with End-to-End Source to Contract process, or 4 years of experience in drafting and negotiation commercial contracts as a lawyer.
- Previous working experience in one or more of Procurement Commercial or Medical categories (Professional Services, HR, Advertising & Media, Meetings & Events, Market Research, Market Access, Real World Data, Outsourced Studies 3b/4)
- “Can do attitude” and problem solving / continuous improvement approach.
- Excellent English communications skills (verbal and written); Polish is not a must.
- Extraordinarily strong relationship and business partnering skills and ability to engage with the stakeholders on different level in the organization, experience in managing stakeholders across the globe within the matrix organization. Strong team player able to collaborate with stakeholders from diverse cultures.
- Strong proven project management skills.
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present information in a clear and concise format to all levels within the organization.
- Proficient presentation skills - able to choose presentation method and adjust the content to the audience. Shapes the message that gets through to the audience.
- Time management (timely decisions to create real savings or cost avoidance) and prioritization (the ability to place urgency on varying demands)
Desirable
- Background operating in a similar complex, matrix, global organization like AstraZeneca or similarly heavily regulated industry.
- In-depth knowledge of regional market dynamics through in-market or regional experience.
- Experience with JAGGAER/ Coupa or any other sourcing tool.
- Very good command (B2+) in both spoken and written French, German, Italian and/or Spanish would be an additional asset.
