Associate Director Technology & Insights Procurement

AstraZeneca Global Procurement is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Procurement Technology & Insights Associate Director to join our Procurement Technology team within Strategy & Operational Excellence. In this key role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in Coupa Sourcing Optimization, providing oversight and strategic guidance in the design, development, and execution of advanced sourcing events. Your deep expertise in procurement technologies—particularly Coupa—will be instrumental in enabling optimized and highly effective sourcing strategies, driving operational efficiency, and supporting the continued advancement of our global procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Advanced Sourcing Events: Guide the planning and execution of complex sourcing projects using Coupa Sourcing Optimisation. Leverage advanced capabilities within the platform to maximize efficiency and cost savings.
• Technical Advisory: Serve as the technical expert for building and customizing sourcing events in Coupa Sourcing Optimisation. Provide strategic advice on using advanced sourcing features to meet complex procurement needs.
• Customize Sourcing Approaches: Design and implement tailored sourcing strategies that address the specific challenges and requirements of various procurement categories.
• Collaborate with Procurement Teams: Work closely with cross-functional procurement teams to integrate technological solutions into sourcing processes. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Provide Sourcing Events Reporting: Develop detailed reports on sourcing events, utilizing data insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in procurement with a focus on technology-driven sourcing solutions, particularly using Coupa Sourcing Optimization – certification is required.
• Strong technical skills with proficiency in Coupa S2P and related procurement tools.
• Proven ability to execute and advise on complex sourcing strategies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management capabilities.
