Preclinical Mathematical Modelling Summer Intern

We are seeking undergraduate freshman, sophomore, or junior students majoring in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field for a 10-week Student Intern role in Waltham, MA for a June 2nd - August 8th contract period.

Position Duties:

  • Develop mathematical models describing the underlying biology from both in vitro and in vivo data.
  • Parameterize the models to obtain best fits across systems.
  • Retrospectively analyze predictive power of models.

Position Requirements:

  • An undergraduate freshman, sophomore, or junior student majoring Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or related field. **Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
  • Some programming experience required, preferably in MATLAB or R.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
  • US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
  • This role will not be providing CPT/OPT support.
  • Ability to report onsite to Waltham, MA five days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
