As a Sales Trainee at AstraZeneca, you'll acquire new skills and knowledge through comprehensive internal sales training, cross-functional marketing project assignments, and hands-on experience. Our structured 3-month in-office followed by 3-month in-field rotation scheme is designed to align with your career aspirations and geographic preferences, providing you with a clear path for growth. Accountabilities will include:
Sales Capability Development
- Engage in ongoing general and sales-specific face-to-face and virtual trainings to develop technical, professional, and leadership skills.
- Work closely with assigned mentors for guidance and support throughout rotations.
- Conduct double-visits with experienced KAMs or POS during initial 3-month rotation (“Sales Camp”).
- Perform independent customer visits, initially supported through double-visits with the new line manager during the 3-month “Field Camp” rotation.
- Represent AstraZeneca standards and values during customer interactions.
- Maintain high scientific standards when engaging customers in discussions.
- Regularly assess personal and professional growth against predefined goals and objectives.
- Manage business acumen & commercial understanding.
- Handle internal and external stakeholder management and communication.
- Share proactive insights with the in-office team.
- Participate in project management and account planning activities.
Cross-functional collaboration in marketing project
- Develop marketing assets, localize global CVA, reapprove preexisting materials, and create VAEs, aligned with marketing and medical teams.
- Provide logistical support for marketing internal and external events.
- Conduct database research.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Education:
- University graduate or FH degree in pharmacy, human medicine, dental or veterinary or completed pharmaceutical representative exam
Functional skills/ competencies:
- Analytical business and audit reporting skills
- Systematic process approach
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Soft skills & Technical competencies:
- Proficient MS Office
- Displays high levels of communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated, meticulous, attention to detail
- Excellent command in English C1 and German (written and spoken)
