Accountabilities

  • Lead a sales team of 10 people to achieve or exceed established sales targets and deliver operational business goals.
  • Implement a strategic sales approach in terms of pre-call planning, call execution, opportunity management, and sales force enablement
  • Oversee the execution of high-quality territory action plans, strategic account plans, and call plans.
  • Support sales team members in setting strategic and challenging goals for each territory.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings to provide direction and share best practices.
  • Regularly participate in brand team meetings and contribute to the development of overall marketing and brand strategies.
  • Deliver detailed coaching and feedforward to sales reps on customer-level activities based on account and territory action plans, continuously assessing team and individual progress and coaching for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, including proper management of sample distribution.
  • Develop individuals to high-performance skill levels through designing and running regular sales trainings (weekly to bi-weekly), offering ongoing coaching (including double visits), and proactively addressing obstacles to performance.
  • Dedicate a minimum of 40% of time to coaching activities and ensure achievement of field presence standards such as at least 195 days in the field per year and required call rates for salespeople.
  • Guarantee 100% adherence to CDTI standards in all activities and behaviors and promote effective account working practices including use of AI tools for performance improvement.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Strategic and competitive mindset. Data analysis and market trends abilities to position products effectively and create winning strategies for your team.
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Completed Matura or a university degree in business or science.
  • Pharmareferentenprüfung preferred
  • Proven experience with account planning and data analysis. You turn insights into actions that drive commercial performance.
  • Experience with using digital tools and platforms, embracing innovation to improve ways of working and sales impact.
  • Experience in team building and coaching, with a track record of successful sales team management and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity during times of change. Quickly understands team dynamics and therapy indications.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, medical, or managerial roles within multinational matrix organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven experience in sales team management is highly valued.
  • Strong record of cross-functional collaboration and working with external partners.
  • Deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and R&I field, with expertise in coaching and training sales teams.
