Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) is the bridge that turns science into actual medicines that help millions of people. The MS&T function ensures reliable and flexible formulation, filling, device assembly and packaging of late stage clinical and commercial products being transferred to SBC. We also provide expert technical support and life-cycle management to AstraZeneca’s commercial biologic drug products.

What you’ll do
As a Senior Packaging Expert, you will serve as the Packaging Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Technology Transfers, Design Transfers, Product Maintenance and Investment/Improvement Projects. Together with your Packaging Expert colleagues you will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of SBC’s packaging formats. You will be assigned to transfer projects executing tasks in your area of responsibility, such as process risk assessments, control strategy build, shipping qualification and process validation. The role also includes product maintenance of commercial products and a variety of tasks related to the packaging process.
Essential requirements for this role include:
- +5 years’ experience from commercial pharma packaging including Design Transfer/Technology Transfer and control strategy establishment
- +8 years’ experience of cGMP, e.g. deviation, CAPA and change control.
- Technical writing skills
- MSc degree or equivalent
Desirable requirements:
- Experience from Risk Management, Process Validation, and/or Shipping Qualification
- Interest in statistics and tools for data analysis and Product Lifecycle Management
- Packing of combination products
