Role description & typical accountabilities


The Patient Support Program specialist is a therapeutic specialist within the medicalaffairs department, who serves in a key position providing education, treatment support, and access to rare disease products for patients with rare diseases. PSP specialist works to ensure the implementation of the patient support program with effective delivery the PSP services and all compliance requirements, professional communication with internal (Distribution, PV and Medical Affairs) and external (physicians, nurses and patients etc) stakeholders, provide resolutions regarding any interruptions or barriers to care, and aid in the overall coordination in the quest for best in class care.

This role supports activities in both the pre-launch and lifecycle management of rare disease products,.The position operates within a broad matrix structure and will require regular interaction with field- and office-based colleagues to provide medical and product support. This position requires an individual who thinks strategically, who can work both independently or as part of multidisciplinary team and to do so with enthusiastic/ ‘can do’ attitude

  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment for continuation of care
  • Previous experience in patient support role
  • Experience in rare disease therapeutic area


Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Nursing
  • Language: Fluent in English communication is preferred
  • Work Experience: 3-7 years Clinical experience (Hematology or neurology nursing an advantage but not necessary)
  • Case management experience with a strong, successful track record
