Facilities Maintenance Lead
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily maintenance activities of our Santa Monica facilities, including assigning tasks to maintenance staff, performing complex repairs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed, and maintaining inventory of supplies, all while adhering to safety standards. They will act as the primary point of contact for building and asset maintenance operations within a facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign and prioritize maintenance tasks to the facilities maintenance team, ensuring efficient workload distribution.
Assist in the development and implementationof preventative maintenance procedures
Diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues, including plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, mechanical breakdowns, and facility system failures.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large projects, obtaining quotes, reviewing work quality, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Maintain appropriate levels of MRO supplies and critical spare parts, placing orders as needed and tracking inventory.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards, and cGMP requirements within the facility.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, work request, repair details, and labor reporting.
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff onprocedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
Monitor maintenance expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities and staying within budget constraints.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
BA/ BS with two plus (2+) years, Associate's Degree with Four plus (4+) years or equivalent experience in the related field.
Proficient knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
Experience in planning, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities.
Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians.
Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with colleagues, contractors, and management.
Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a cGMP environment.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $71,749 - $107,624. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
