Associate Director, Product Lead Business Systems (Supply Chain)

Position Summary

AstraZeneca is looking for an experienced Product Lead for Cell Orchestration to join our team. The Product Lead will improve the development of our cell orchestration products. We are looking for a blend of technical expertise, and skills to guide teams towards achieving our product vision. This position will be based in Santa Monica, CA. You will report to the Director, Business Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive product strategy for cell orchestration, aligning technology investments with our goals and priorities.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the cell therapy and orchestration space.

  • Collaborate with R&D clinical, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure cohesive product development and patient-centric strategies.

  • Lead the cell orchestration development lifecycle, ensuring delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • Lead change management efforts to improve adoption and use of new products and technology solutions, providing training, support, and communication to partners at all levels.

  • Engage with partners, including customers, partners, and industry experts, to gather feedback and ensure the product meets market needs.

  • Manage the product budget, forecast & actuals, and track product performance.

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, overseeing contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance to ensure understanding of our requirements and goals.

  • Ensure all product activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and AstraZeneca's internal policies.

Education and Experience

  • Ten (10) years with BS/BA, or Eight (8) years with MS/MA in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development and management, technology, clinical & commercial background, with a focus on cell therapy, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals.

  • Experience with cell therapy processes, technologies, and market dynamics.

  • Experience with building technology with a product mindset.

  • Experience leading enterprise-wide system implementations, including cell orchestration, supply chain, commercial applications, and other operational technologies, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.

  • Project management skills, with experience working with teams and managing complex projects in a regulated environment.

  • Translate market insights into relevant plans.

  • Present to senior leadership and external partners.

  • Proficiency in systems and technology platforms relevant to life sciences manufacturing, supply chain and commercial operations, such as ERP (SAP), Salesforce systems, cell orchestration, data management.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,263 to $168,395. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related experience. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and we reserve the right to modify base salary (and any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
