The Vendor Managed Service (VMS) team supports various functions to ensure supplier data is accurate, current, and available in all necessary systems. Our work follows standard procedures and company policies to enable accurate purchasing and financial transactions.

Our responsibilities include checking if a supplier already exists in our systems, guiding users on required documentation, managing supplier setup requirements, and facilitating risk assessments as needed. We submit supplier creation or maintenance requests, monitor these requests through the process, ensure data quality and timely distribution, and proactively update business users on their status.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Gather required information and documents from business users for supplier creation or updates.

  • Check for duplicate vendor data, submit requests, and verify vendor data according to country regulations.

  • Proactively monitor and communicate the status of requests.

  • Work closely with Data Management Teams to ensure accuracy and timely processing, as well as drive data quality improvements in SAP and other systems.

  • Collect questionnaires and banking information from suppliers when required.

  • Screen customer master data and suppliers, handle alerts, and work with compliance teams on any potential sanctions.

  • Perform monthly checks on sanctioned banks.

  • Manage priorities and requests from the helpdesk and business users.

  • Identify and assess opportunities to improve and automate processes.

  • Support business projects and coordinate mass requests.

  • Contribute to the design and testing of tools needed for daily work.

  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Meet defined SLAs and KPIs.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Business or a related field.

  • Experience working in a shared service organization and procurement area.

  • Excellent customer service attitude and strong communication skills.

  • Knowledge of SAP master data transactions and related structures.

  • Experience working with AstraZeneca internal customers is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and deliver trainings.

  • Experience in customer service environments and handling high volumes of requests.

  • Ability to turn business needs into technical solutions.

  • Understanding of SAP systems and configuration.
