What you'll do

As a Sales Representative with us, you’ll sell life-changing medicines within one of four therapeutic areas: Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic, and other diseases. Using your exceptional selling skills and personable attitude, you’ll build strong and strategic partnerships with healthcare providers across your territory – from clinicians and pharmacists to nurses and consultants.

The part you play in our business will be challenging, yet rewarding, requiring you to use your resilient, collaborative and diplomatic skillsets to make connections. The majority of your work will be field based, and will require you to be highly-organised, planning your monthly schedule, attending meetings and calls, as well as writing up reports.

Being on the road, you’ll be able to manage your own time, working around your various tasks. For this, you’ll need to be flexible in the way you work with the ability to adapt to and take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

Responsible

This is a heavily-regulated industry, so working within it means taking responsibility and being particularly observant when selling our products. This means managing your work and territory with diplomacy and in a way that is compliant.

As the intern, you will work closely with the Sales Managers/ Medical Affairs Manager. To work on the sales/ medical centric project assigned by the Supervisor.

What you’ll do

To better support you to work on the project, you will get an immersive learning experience by being exposed to different aspects of the pharmaceutical sales/ medical ecosystem, the key activities include:

Sales Intern (6 months internship)

  • Contribute to sales operations ensuring an effective and efficient team

  • Closely collaborate with other functions to achieve the objectives of AZ products, including product promotion

  • Assist with client outreach project

  • Support the sales team on symposium event coordination

  • Conduct internal and external market analysis

  • Provide the assistance for special projects

  • Attend sales team meeting and participate in the field works

  • Regular touch base with Sales Manager, Business Manager, Business Unit Director and HR

​Medical Intern (3 months' internship)

  • Collect and summarize the specific therapeutic area new data readout (from AZ, competitors or general therapeutic area persepctive) and provide internal trainings

  • Assist scientific communication work to ensure timely updates to external experts

  • Support the medical team on event management and coordination

  • Attend medical team organized meeting and participate in field work

  • Provide assistance in handling medical enquiries

  • Support clinical study operations and facilitate the process

Requirements:

  • Outstanding academic performance

  • High proficiency in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, both written and spoken.

  • Strong passion in pharmaceutical sales industry

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Highly self-motivated, meticulous, able to work under pressure
