Haematology is a high-growth therapy area with rapid innovation and significant unmet medical need. As we begin to build our position as a haematology leader, we seek a Haematology (Senior) Medical Advisor to join our Medical Affairs team in Hong Kong.

What you’ll do
As an Associate Medical Affairs Manager/ Medical Affairs Manager, you will be a single point of contact for the Haematology TA. The role will work very closely with Head of Medical Affairs to deploy and adapt Medical Affairs strategy to the local market including tactics and execution, channelling our scientific capabilities to bring an important new therapy into clinical practice, and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
Your job responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Provides external (health care professionals) and internal (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory etc.) customers with state-of-the art, balanced, scientific information on haematology products, their competitors and related disease area
Coach and develop medical advisor(s) / MSL(s)
Provides strategic scientific advice and support for local marketing decisions and commercial brand strategy
Helps optimise the product commercialisation through effective cross-functional working leading to the generation of timely and relevant, added value outputs
Interact in the field with the medical community in the context of various medical projects such as clinical trials, Non-Interventional Studies (NISs), Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISSs), health outcomes research, scientific exchange meetings
Contributes promotional standards and medical information expertise in the generation of promotional material/claims and advises the product team on all aspects of promotional activity acceptability
Works in partnership with the Market Access and Regulatory Team, providing medical information and promotional standards expertise and input to high level documentation
Demonstrate business ethics and ensure active respect of values, business ethics, local laws, policies and Marketing procedures. Ensure all activities and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct, supporting Policies and Standards and Company Values to protect and enhance long term performance and reputation
Work closely with the Medical Affairs Leadership team and provide input into the company medical affairs strategies and alignment
Other duties within position’s scope, as assigned by Line Manager
Essential for the role
University graduate in science or related discipline
5+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry
Strategic mindset, strong problem-solving skills
Ability to seek and critically assess information, put it into context and evaluate its impact on the business
Possess a high ethical standard and knowledge of the HKAPI Code of Practices
Knowledge of good clinical practice
Sound computer skills
Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, conversable Mandarin is an advantage
Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills
Desirable for the role
Experience in Haematology or Haemato-oncology.
Possess PhD/MD/PharmD, or master degree in related discipline.
Team management experience
Depending on candidate experience, this position may be filled at the following levels: Associate Medical Manager/ Medical Manager
