Senior Specialist Patient Safety

Introduction to role
Are you ready to make a significant impact in patient safety? As a Senior Specialist in Patient Safety, you will manage high-level aspects of patient safety activities and processes at the country level, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and global pharmacovigilance requirements across AstraZeneca's portfolio. Your expertise in patient safety systems, databases, and projects will be crucial in efficiently running day-to-day operations while adhering to regulatory standards. With your leadership skills and advanced knowledge, you will oversee audits, inspections, and cross-functional collaborations to meet patient safety requirements. This role offers increasing freedom to act independently, allowing you to manage risk, develop reporting tools, and solve complex problems within the patient safety domain. Accountabilities
The Senior Patient Safety Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring AstraZeneca has an effective pharmacovigilance system that complies with local PV requirements. Core responsibilities include maintaining in-depth knowledge of local health authority regulations, updating procedural documents, ensuring accurate information in the Pharmacovigilance System Master File, and overseeing safety-related processes within the country. You will support timely submission of safety documents to health authorities, manage interactions with regulatory bodies, and ensure compliance with Good Pharmacovigilance Practice. Additionally, you will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, mentor new patient safety staff, and manage external vendors delivering patient safety services.
